Welcome to TripTogether ("the App"), developed by KeyQuest Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our collaborative trip-planning app.
By using TripTogether you agree to this policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use.
Account information: When you sign in we collect your name, email address, and available profile photo (via Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or email/password registration). Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your personal address.
Trip data: Trips you create or join, including title, destination, dates, checklists, activities, and maps.
Flight planning: Traveller names and flight details you enter are stored with the trip and visible to its members. This is manual planning information, not a live flight-status service.
Private tickets: Ticket images and rendered PDF pages imported into the private ticket area are stored on your device, separated by account. TripTogether does not upload these ticket copies to Firebase or share them with trip members. The ticket directory is excluded from app backups; signing out hides it, and deleting your account in the app removes that account's local copies on this device. Originals you select from a file or cloud provider remain subject to that provider's settings.
Chat messages: Text and images you share inside trip group chats. These are stored in Firebase and visible to all trip members.
Photos: Images you upload to trip chats or your profile are stored in Firebase Storage.
Location (optional): If you grant permission, we use your location to suggest nearby places and show maps, only while the app is in use. We do not store your location history.
Service data: Device push tokens and subscription status needed to deliver notifications and premium access. We do not currently use a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Purchase data: Subscription status and transaction identifiers processed via the App Store or Google Play billing systems. We do not store payment card details.
TripTogether uses the following third-party services:
Firebase (Google) Google Sign-In OpenStreetMap MET Norway Native Apple / Android geocoding Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons Apple / Google billing Firebase App CheckDestination photos and place descriptions are loaded from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, and places from OpenStreetMap; like any website, these services receive your device's IP address when the App loads their content. No account or personal information is sent to them. Photo authors and licenses are listed in the App under Profile > Photo & data credits.
For weather, the App sends the selected destination's coordinates (rounded to four decimal places), not your account details, to MET Norway. Direct requests also expose your IP address to the provider. Forecasts are cached on your device. A typed destination without stored coordinates may be resolved using the device's native geocoding service. Timezone lookup is performed offline. Weather forecasts are informational and are not guaranteed to be available or accurate.

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only:
Your data is stored while your account is active. In-app account deletion immediately starts removal of your authentication account, profile, private device tokens, avatar, trips you own and their media. For shared trips, your membership and content you authored are removed while other members' content remains. Service-provider backups may persist for a limited period under the providers' retention policies, except where longer retention is required by law.
TripTogether is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us.
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules, Firebase App Check, and encrypted HTTPS connections to protect your data.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You may also delete your account from within the App settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
